Storekeeper - QDC

Job Description

In this role, you will ensure that the team undertake rapid, efficient, safe and accurate movement and storage of stock. You will ensure that the stock is in the right place at the right time, whilst minimizing shortages, breakages and other materials handling costs. You will assist the Warehouse Team Leaders with all aspects of warehouse operations. You are accountable for team’s prompt compliance to all Occupational Health and Safety and other safety instructions.
Specific responsibilities of the role include:
Ensures stacking of pallets is in accordance with company guidelines for maximum space utilization and safe movement of stock.
Ensures stock stacked and picked according to expiry dates and vintages to ensure proper stock rotation on a First in First out (FIFO) basis.
Ensures rapid and efficient order picking for shop requirements. Ensure full shelves at all times and no lost sales.
Ensures rapid and efficient order picking for On Trade orders so that goods are ready when required and are stored neatly and safely prior to collection.
Checks all dispatches to On Trade customers ensuring accuracy.
Supervises unloading teams to ensure proper receipt of goods including correct product and pallet labelling.
Maintains company quality standards in general and specifically in food items.

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Completed High School level.
With minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in materials handling in similar warehouse operations with high density racking and palletized stock.
Must be numerical, computer literate and result focused.
Good knowledge of industry standards for climate control, stacking and storage of temperature sensitive product.
Knowledge of pallet stacking climate control standard.
Good knowledge of safety practices in a warehouse operations.
Good command of English language
